Architect: Extensions and Energy Upgrades
As part of our unique design service for extensions and smaller jobs, we will show you how to save around £500 of your energy bills with a payback of about 2 years.
From the 28 May 2014 the Planning Permission Fee for an Extension or Alteration is £285. Some types of Extensions or Alterations do not require Planning Permission or a Fee. This is called Permitted Development. We can advise you on Planning Permission. Planning Permission if required should be gained before any work starts on site.
You can also download a useful guide from the Planners Website using the following link: http://www.planningni.gov.uk/index/advice/advice_apply/advice_apply_homes/advice_householders_guide.htm
Building Control Plan Approval should be gained before you start any works. From the 8 April 2013, the Building Control Fee for an Extension up to 20m² is £120. Other types of Works attract different Fees, which we can advise on. More information is on the Councils Website: http://www.derrycity.gov.uk/Council-Services/BuildingControl
